The Bangladesh Air Force has announced recruitment for Officer Cadet positions through the Direct Entry (DE 2025B) Course and Special Purpose Short Service Commission (SPSSC 2025B) Course. Both men and women from across the country are eligible to apply. The recruitment notice has been published on the Air Force website and in national newspapers.
Eligibility Criteria
Recruitment Areas
The recruitment will be conducted in six branches:
- DE 2025B Course: Engineering, ATC, ADWC, Finance, and Meteorology.
- SPSSC 2025B Course: Education (Physics, Mathematics, and Psychology).
Educational Qualifications
1. Engineering Branch:
- Minimum GPA of 4.50 in both SSC and HSC (Science stream) with A grades in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- GCE O-Level: At least five subjects with a minimum grade of B, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- GCE A-Level: Minimum grade B in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering disciplines (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Aerospace, etc.) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00.
2. ATC/ADWC Branch:
- Minimum GPA of 4.50 in SSC and HSC (Science stream) with A grades in Physics and Mathematics.
- GCE O-Level: At least five subjects with a minimum grade of B, including Physics and Mathematics.
- GCE A-Level: Minimum grade B in Physics and Mathematics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00.
3. Finance Branch:
- Minimum GPA of 4.50 in SSC and HSC with A grades in Mathematics or Accounting.
- GCE O-Level: At least five subjects with a minimum grade of B, including Mathematics or Accounting.
- GCE A-Level: Minimum grade B in at least two subjects, including Mathematics or Accounting.
- Bachelor of Commerce degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00.
4. Meteorology Branch:
- Minimum GPA of 4.50 in SSC and HSC with A grades in Physics and Mathematics.
- GCE O-Level and A-Level requirements are similar to the ATC/ADWC branch.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Meteorology with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00.
5. Education Branch (Physics, Mathematics, Psychology):
- Minimum GPA of 4.00 in both SSC and HSC.
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in relevant fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00.
Other Requirements
- Marital Status: Both married and unmarried candidates are eligible.
- Age Limit (as of June 23, 2025):
- DE 2025B Course: 20–30 years.
- SPSSC 2025B Course: 21–35 years.
- Physical Standards:
- Male: Minimum height of 64 inches, chest 32 inches (2-inch expansion).
- Female: Minimum height of 62 inches, chest 28 inches (2-inch expansion).
- Weight: Proportional to age and height.
- Vision Requirements:
- 6/12 for ATC/ADWC.
- 6/36 for other branches.
Ineligibility
Applicants who meet the following criteria are ineligible:
- Dismissed from any military or government job.
- Failed ISSB screening twice.
- Convicted of any criminal offense.
- Rejected by CMB or Medical Appeal Board.
Application Process
- Visit the Bangladesh Air Force website and click “Apply Now.”
- Complete the registration and pay the application fee of BDT 1,000.
- After receiving the User ID and Password via SMS, log in to fill out and print the application form.
- Print the admit card.

Required Documents for Submission:
- Attested copies of recent passport-sized photos, educational certificates, and transcripts.
- National ID or birth certificate, citizenship certificate, and character certificate.
Training and Commission
- Training will be conducted at the Bangladesh Air Force Academy for six months.
- Upon completion:
- DE Course Graduates: Commissioned as Flying Officers.
- SPSSC Graduates: Commissioned as Flight Lieutenants.
Special allowances of BDT 59,150 and BDT 42,250 will be provided for DE and SPSSC graduates, respectively.
